As studies on the human body and health continue to evolve, you may have heard that the health of our gut can have a big impact on what’s happening in the rest of our body.
Now sometimes referred to as ‘the second brain’, it’s clear there’s more going on in our gut than we may be aware of.
The first part of our workshop will be lead by registered dietitian & lecturer, Sarah Elder, who will give you an introduction into probiotics, microbiome, ‘good’ vs ‘bad’ bacteria and the role they play in bodily functions and our overall health.
Zach from Sodada Kombucha will then introduce you to the ancient art of fermentation and the benefits of including fermented food/drinks in your diet. We’ll show you how to brew Kombucha, and give you a starter culture so you can make your own kombucha to take home!
